My name is Erik Berglund, and I'm a a singer / songwriter originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I moved to Austin over 10 years ago to play music. My major influences are The Beatles, Foo Fighters, Norah Jones, Elliott Smith, Queen and many more. Right now I'm playing solo but looking for members to eventually form a full a band.
My songwriting journey began when I was 15 and heard "Brown-Eyed Girl" in a movie. I listened to the oldies station all night just to hear it again. While listening to the oldies, I discovered The Beatles, which soon became my favorite band. I taught myself to sing by singing along to music in my car. I moved to Austin in 2003 to pursue music more intensely. I've played at numerous venues around town such as Stompin' Grounds, Austin Java, Tom's Tabooley, Strange Brew, Speakeasy, Love Goat, Housewine, Tellers, Kick Butt Coffee, Genuine Joe's Coffee, Iron Cactus, Cafe Creme, Irie Bean and more.
